Music City Consultants mission is to evaluate, educate and assist the "Artist" in all aspects of their journey in the pursuit of a career in and/or around the Nashville Music Industry.
Our Goal and Purpose is to assist the "Artist" in learning to recognize and avoid the pitfalls and misinformation that may hurt or hender that journey, as well as providing insight into their talent in order for the "Artist" to honestly decide whether or not to continue to pursue a career in this extremely challenging medium.

What can you expect from Music City Consultants?

Initially, you can expect that we will fairly evaluate your material at no cost. Your material will be evaluated by individuals in and around the industry - from other artists and music consumers. We offer this evaluation for one reason only: There are many people in the industry and among your friends/family that will tell you that you have talent when in reality you don't or you have mediocre abilities that will not sustain your success in music. These two groups each have different motivations for doing so. Friends and family will do so because they wish to spare your feelings. However, so-called industry reps will tell you that you are talented and unique because they want your MONEY and in most cases you receive little or nothing in return.

Upon evaluating your material and an initial consultation either by phone or email, we will fax or email the results to you. Included in the report will be our collective recommendation as to whether or not our services are for you at this time in your career. If we discern that you are not a candidate that would benefit from our services, we would rather you CHOOSE not to use us. However, if you are still convinced that you do have talent and you want our guidance - we ask that you return the evaluation and the recommendation with your SIGNED acknowledgement of what we have advised. That is as STRAIGHT-FORWARD as we can be. Obviously, there are going to be those who receive our evaluations and will not agree and/or be angry with our firm for what we recommend. We understand and expect that. But we would rather have an individual upset with us because we are honest as opposed to taking advantage of an individual, not deliver what is expected, and have them be disappointed or angry down the road because they were lied to. We would not want to be treated unfairly and we will not treat others in such a manner. Unfortunately, it happens every day to people who want to break into the music business and have no idea how to do so. This philosophy is precisely why we chose to commit our time and energy to the Artists who have talent but no direction or contactual resources to make that dream a reality. With this outlook, we hope to perpetuate an artistic and business community of integrity & dependability.
AFTER THE EVALUATION PROCESS
What happens when I am accepted as a client?

First, our client retains our services for a 30-day period, with a fee tailored to meet their needs (all-inclusive fee). If you feel after the initial 30-day period that you would benefit from retaining our services further, we will discuss your options at that time. There is a significant discount for our clients who choose to do so.

As a client, you will have access to our firm via telephone conferences (on our dime) with knowledgeable consultants who will advise you on your current track and answer any questions you may have that are not covered in our initial e-packet that we send you with vital information about the business and contacts. Clients will receive updates via e-mail with information pertaining to the music business and we are available 6 days a week, from 10 am until 7 pm (CST) for telephone or e-mail assistance.

For the most part, we will debunk myths about the business, the structures that exist, how to pursue music as a money-making career and how to avoid pitfalls that other artists have encountered. For as long as you are a client, we are your personal advisors.
